Nissan la rândul său a adus la Salonul Auto de la Detroit un pick-up conceptual, numit Titan Warrior, care are la bază modelul obişnuit Titan, numai că designul exterior şi interior a fost pregătit pentru un off-road extrem. Reprezentanţii Nissan de la biroul de design au vrut să-l întruchipeze pe un luptător din Grecia Antică în stilistica tot-terenului.

După cum v-am relatat mai sus, la bază stă modelul Titan în modificaţia Crew Cab. Datorită modificării totale a suspensiei şi dotării cu pneuri pentru off-road, înălţimea pick-up-ului a crescut de la 1.998 la 2.070 milimetri, iar lăţimea a crescut de la 2.047 la 2.199 mm datorită instalării unor noi părţi ale caroseriei. Kit-ul exterior este compus din bosaje, eleron din carbon, aripi şi bare de protecţie speciale şi lumini adăugătoare pe acoperiş.

Designerii au modificat şi blocurile optice: LED-urile din farurile frontale au fost aranjate sub forma unui bumerang, iar cele posterioare în forma literei “T”.

În habitaclul modificat au apărut numeroase comenzi pentru controlul regimurilor de condus, iar în tunelul central au fost montat un spaţiu unde pot fi răcite sau încălzite băuturile.

Unitatea de propulsie nu a avut de suferit modificări. Sub capotă se află un turbodiesel V8 Cummins care oferă la dispoziţie 310 CP şi 752 Nm de cuplu. Cutia de viteze este una automată cu şase rapoarte de marcă Aisin.

Proiectul (conceptul) a fost pregătit cu ocazia startului vânzărilor noului model Titan, premiera căruia a avut loc acum un an la acelaşi salon auto. În SUA, preţul unui pick-up Nissan începe de la 40.290 de dolari.
